Lesson Offerings

Private lessons are offered in-person and over zoom on marimba, vibraphone, xylophone, snare drum, timpani, and drum set. Lessons are booked through direct contact with me at sammydeangelis@gmail.com and prices can be found at the drop down menu below!

  • Recommended for students ages 5-14. Topics include basic percussion techniques and musicality as well as assistance for all-state, band auditions, and more! First lesson is free schedule your trial lesson today by emailing sammydeangelis@gmail.com

    30-Minute Lesson Packages

    • Single Lesson: $30

    • 4-Lesson Package: $110 ($27.50/lesson)

    • 8-Lesson Package: $200 ($25/lesson)

    • 12-Lesson Package: $270 ($22.50/lesson)

    • 16-Lesson Package: $320 ($20/lesson)

    Lesson packages are scheduled in advance and offer a reduced per-lesson rate but can be paid weekly.

  • 45-minute lessons are ideal for students ages 10–16 who demonstrate a strong interest in percussion, practice regularly at home, and are working toward auditions, honors ensembles, or advanced repertoire.

    • 8-Lesson Package: $300 ($37.50 per lesson)

  • Best for advanced middle and high school students, college students, and adults preparing for auditions, competitions, solo performances, or pursuing intensive musical study. Highly recommended for any students taking collegiate auditions!

    • 8-Lesson Package: $400 ($50 per lesson)

Matthew Gleason

Matthew studied with Dr. DeAngelis for three years and in that time was back-to-back winner of the Junior Division of the Modern Snare Drum competition!

Ethan Stefanski

After lessons with Dr. DeAngelis, Ethan was accepted into the FSU Percussion studio and is now a composition major in his second year.

Sarah Luan

Sarah Luan studied with Dr. DeAngelis for 1 and half years before college auditions and is now a percussion performance at the University of Delaware studying with Gene Koshinski and Tim Broscious.

Grayson Trinca

Grayson started with Dr. DeAngelis just one year before college auditions and was accepted into his top school, Ohio State University, where he now studies percussion performance.
